Welcome to the latest instalment of Hope For Justice. We call this part "Hope For Justice: In Action" because it lays the foundational ideas for actions you can take to help move your personal "hope that there really is justice" into action steps. Interestingly it is the opposite of "inaction"...that which got us to where we are today.
We cover some of the key points from the Hope For Justice material and lay the foundation for action steps you can take to reclaim justice for yourself. Fortunately (or unfortunately) it is a solo journey. You must do the work, gain knowledge and take action YOURSELF. This is not something anyone can give you. You must live it and claim it. Many may say that is a good thing. Either way, it's up to you.
The claim and exercise of a right cannot be converted into a crime. there can be no sanction or penalty imposed upon one because of an exercise of his constitutional rights. No state shall covert a liberty into a privilege, license it and charge a fee therefore. The citizen can ignore the license and the fee and engage in the with impunity,

It continually amazes me the things people jump to defend. I guess its easy to do when evil acts far away from us and we only see hints of it from time to time as freedoms slowly erode away more and more.
Guess who makes the laws that rule us, run the courts that punish us and govern the masses to control us....mostly lawyers and lawyers who are politicians. hmmmm.
Ask almost anyone if they trust politicians or lawyers. You'll get close to a unanimous NO (yes there are a few exceptions). Its been like that for THOUSANDS of years from before the time of ancient Rome and Greece two of the most disliked and distrusted groups has been...politicians and lawyers.
Why? They should be honoured, revered positions of trust, but they are more often than not treated as far far less. Apparently wealth and power are more enticing than an honourable and noble life of upholding the law and serving the greater good (surprised?). Would YOU do it better?

Raw milk: good enough for the Queen but prohibited for YOU. They have a new article on raw milk which made headlines in Canada with a trial in Ontario. The raw milk issue is not about raw milk really, its about what right does the government have to prevent people accessing their foods of choice?
A writeup on raw milk published inThe Globe and Mailback in 2010 explains that Queen Elizabeth personally drinks raw milk, and that when her grandsons Harry and William were students at Eton College, she went out of her way to smuggle it in for them as well. When private people choose something which harms no one, the government has no say, period (in legal theory). Do you find it a little disturbing the idea that the government knows better what THEY will ALLOW you to do, than you have the freedom to do, and YOU HAVE NO SAY IN THE MATTER without being labelled an "offender", fined and possibly prosecuted?
The media is used to "sell" ideas, beliefs, politics and more. Audio and video combined is a powerful tool to program someone's mind...for good or evil.
Having both sides of the story and some basic critical thinking skills (can you see the problem coming?) empowers you to be whole instead of broken and in pain.

"Smart meters" are another hot topic that privacy, private property rights and health safety are becoming an issue. Many people are standing up and saying no to the "forced installation" of these new meters. Some have even provided legal notice kits to stop the install on their home.
The basic idea here is that the new meters measure and track every use of electricity in your home and broadcast it out via wireless signals to a neighbourhood data collection device that then rebroadcasts the data back to a central unit.
There is so much going on these days. For those awake it can be a scary time...but change is coming. Wake up your friends, wake up your neighbours, the proof is clear and obvious that corruption rules political, policing, corporate and legal structures.

I look for connections in ideas to explain principles that are in play. Often when you see something it seems innocent, but in context of other things it can take on a whole new meaning, especially if what you are seeing was created with a specific intent, purpose, message that you may not have been aware of before.
So, the time has come where the gloves come off. The U.S.A is now a military dictatorship under martial law for all intents and purposes.
Alleged President Obama signed into "law" on New Years Eve 2011/2012 a Bill that proclaims the "legal right" of government and their agents to arrest, detain, torture anyone... including US citizens.
Atlas Shrugged for some reason was a controversial book, because of the ideas it discussed. Ideas are powerful things when passed from person to person, they can grow and take hold. Good ideas and bad ideas.
Many people call an idea bad and their's good, instead of exploring the differences and possibly appreciating some of the benefits of a different idea, often the attitude is "you're stupid" or "dangerous"...for thousands of years.
Hate runs deep in the arena of ideas especially when one group benefits at the expense of others if THEIR idea is the LAW.
Oh, I know why......the people who hate the ideas in Atlas Shrugged are used to living off the efforts of people who create, produce and do productive work and the promotion of self responsibility, being creative, productive and accountable just makes those folks mighty uncomfortable.
If you were living off the efforts of another you'd get pissed too if they all of a sudden said, "HEY, no more! Feed, clothe and nurture yourself without sucking off my energy". Ayn Rand was more diplomatic, me thinks. ;-)
The SAME People Who Want SOPA PASSED Are the Ones Who Distributed All the File Sharing Software!
SOPA is pending legislation called the Stop Online Privacy Act and millions of dollars are being spent to pass new laws that would give unknown amounts of control to corporations to control the internet BUT here is a wee principle in law referred to as the "clean hands doctrine" which generally means you can't come to a court (or lawmaker) and seek remedy for some action that you participated in or was illegal in the first place. Makes sense right?
There is a lot of noise about the Internet being used to download "illegal" copies of music, movies, tv shows, book etc. anything covered by a commercial copyright. OK, makes sense too. I can see a possible problem with that, if it were that simple.
